Our mission is to help every young reader no matter what their financial means. We achieve this by providing a world-class reading program, using a socially responsible business-philanthropy model, that is leveraged with technology.


What is StudyDog?
StudyDog teaches pre-K to 2nd grade children the skills they need to be successful readers. We do so through an innovative reading system, where game-like lessons are done on the computer, independently by the child, and progress is monitored and communicated to the parent.

The StudyDog system is designed from research-based principles described by the National Reading Panel and other reading experts. StudyDog consolidates these principles into the Five Keys for Reading Success, and delivers them in a unique way so children stick with the program for an extended period of time to master the skills being taught.

Engaging children so they are motivated to stick with StudyDog over a period of months is a unique advantage. This occurs not only because of the entertaining design and format of the lessons, but also because the program is personalized for each child in our Online version.

Parents are delighted with StudyDog not only because of the effectiveness of the system, but because it actually fits in their busy lives. By being Online and on CDROM, StudyDog is available any time and any place. Lessons are focused and are brief enough to fit into a tight schedule, taking just 15 minutes to complete each of 3 to 5 new lessons per week. Finally, parents don't have to figure out how to teach, since StudyDog teaches the lessons and keeps parents and teachers informed of progress

Who is StudyDog
Founded in 2002, StudyDog is committed to improving reading skills for children, preventing the struggle far too many children and their parents have when essential skills are not learned at an early age.  StudyDog does this by overcoming behavioral barriers and teaching research-based reading curriculum.  Children have fun while they are learning and their confidence is strengthened.  Parents are encouraged to participate, but StudyDog is designed for minimal parental supervision.

Our talented design and development team has been producing highly interactive software programs and web sites for children since 1992. We've won 33 awards and logged over 100,000 hours designing digital activities that engage, entertain, and educate young people.

The StudyDog development team has developed educational software for grades K-12, with rich 3D virtual reality learning environments and published 17 award-winning programs in math, science, language arts, social studies, and multimedia authoring.
